These are my favorite bottoms! The extra 2 inches really makes a difference in mid coverage for me. I only wish it came in more colors!!
I am so happy Janela Bay added these extra extra high waist bottoms to their selection! Finally, I can wear their cute tankini tops without showing my midriff. I am able to raise my arms and move about with full mid coverage. Love it!!! My teen daughter loves these too! I also love that the bum and leg coverage are the same as in the original bottoms. Thank you!!
I have found that these and all the swimwear that I’ve tried from Janela Bay will snag if not careful. So pay attention to what you sit on, stay away from rough cement! 🙂
I have a big stomach and stick legs. It’s really hard for me to find a suit and this was no exception. I thought the modest fit would help, but the leg holes were still too big for me. It would be perfect for a more proportionate person, but if you are an apple with little legs, this might not work for you.
First of all, I do love the fit and the look of these bottoms and think the price is reasonable. However, that price may be because the fabric is cheap! I wore them for the first time today and was in the sun about 2 hours. I started feeling surface pain across the lower abdomen but could't figure out why. Imagine my surprise when I came home and took the suit off to find the whole area not covered by my tankini top was lobster red! In all my years of buying bathing suits I have never worried about getting sunburn underneath my suit! I am still dumbfounded. I guess I will either have to put sunscreen all over or keep the area covered by laying an SPF shirt across it. I would return it if I could. With all these great reviews - I am the only one this has happened to??
update - it turned out it was not a true sunburn. The skin was red and stung but it faded as the evening went on and by morning just a few small spots remain. Still not sure why but assuming it was a heat rash of some kind.
