Find your Janela Bay fit.

Use the Janela Bay swimwear size charts to compare women’s, girls’, men’s, and boys’ sizing. Start with fresh body measurements, then check the fit notes for the swimsuit or swim trunks you are considering.

Before You Use the Chart

How to measure for swimwear.

Use a soft measuring tape over close-fitting clothing or undergarments. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug without pulling it tight.

Bust or chest

Measure around the fullest part of the bust or chest. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and let your arms rest naturally.

Waist

Measure around your natural waist, usually the narrowest point of your torso. Keep the tape relaxed enough to breathe normally.

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, keeping the tape level all the way around.

Torso or inseam

For one-pieces, loop the tape from one shoulder through the legs and back to the same shoulder. For trunks, measure the inside leg from crotch to hem.

Fit Beyond the Numbers

A good swim fit feels secure, not restrictive.

The chart is a starting point. Fabric, coverage, torso length, and the way you prefer a swimsuit to feel can all affect the size you choose.

Check the feel while dry

Your suit should stay in place without gaping, pinching, or straps digging in. Swim fabric may relax slightly once it is wet.

Give one-pieces enough length

If straps pull, the neckline sits too low, or the suit feels short through the body, compare your torso measurement and explore long-torso styles.

Let tops and bottoms differ

It is normal to need different sizes on top and bottom. Janela Bay swim separates make it easier to choose each piece from the measurement that matters most.
